Before Easter 2012 we hope to paint the outside of the cabin, and garage double doors – which are the first thing you see when you drive into the campsite. There is a possibility that we may erect a disabled toilet and shower, next to the garage, which could be used by everyone. It would involve putting in another sewerage onion close by. It is at the planning stage at the moment but hopefully will come to fruition sometime this year.

A new gate will be hung at the entry of the campsite. More road planings will be spread over the drive and hard standings where necessary.

A new cabinet and sign is being made at the moment to house information about the conservation walk and the map and details that go with it.

We moved most of the potted plants from around the cabin to a more sheltered site, to protect them from an impending blizzard – which fortunately hasn’t happened this winter yet!

We continued to use our ancient MTD ride on mower until late into the season as the grass just wouldn’t stop growing.

Our most unusual caravan stayed on the site last summer in the shape of a converted ambulance.
